Centre for Business & Research, a business accelerator and research facility will meet the growing demand for lab, research and complimentary office space in Owensboro. It will also allow the growth of university-level applied research and further cultivate high technology companies through the Emerging Ventures Center for Innovation.

The current growth of plant biotech companies associated with Kentucky BioProcessing (KBP) has created a significant demand for biotech lab space. Regional colleges and universities can utilize the facility for research and development programs. This infrastructure will also provide for prospective high tech companies.

The facility offers wet labs, equipment and office space that start-up companies and universities can lease.

eMERGING VENTURES partners with agencies who share their resources to help build and grow the region's business and research base.

These partners include Western Kentucky University-Owensboro and Nucleus to name a few. They provide access to services such as financing, business plan development, management consulting, technology transfer as well as research and development.
