Joe Berry joined GOEDC in 2011 as a Project Manager for Downtown Owensboro. As Executive Vice President for Entrepreneurship, Joe assists start-up and high tech companies—as well as traditional small businesses—with strategic planning, capitalization, product development, and numerous other services. He also acts as Executive Director to the eMerging Ventures Center for Innovation—the Owensboro office of the Kentucky Innovation Network, which covers the seven-county GRADD region.
An Owensboro native, he is a 2005 graduate of Transylvania University with a bachelor’s degree in history and received an MPA from Western Kentucky University in 2008. Joe is a 2011 graduate of Leadership Owensboro. He has completed postgraduate coursework at the University of Miami School of Architecture, the University of Kentucky Gatton College of Business, and received certification in Business Incubation Management and Economic Development Finance.
Joe is very active in the Owensboro community and has served on boards of directors and advisory boards for numerous organizations, including the Kentucky Life Sciences Council, RiverPark Center, Theatre Workshop of Owensboro, and the Owensboro Life Science Academy.
