Music

Owensboro has a very eclectic and interesting music scene. Its proximity to Nashville allows Owensboro to benefit from musical entertainment not available in other similarly sized cities. Owensboro is home to the International Bluegrass Music Museum and often hosts big name bluegrass acts at events such as ROMP (the River of Music Party) and other festivals. Rock, country, and Indie band acts often frequent the city at several of the region’s indoor and outdoor music venues, including the popular Indie band favorite the Boneyard, where top Indie and college bands often perform.

Owensboro is also home to a full time professional symphony orchestra and has regularly touring Broadway shows visiting the RiverPark Center.
