An exciting announcement for downtown Owensboro was made in April! Plans were revealed of building a 12 to 15 story structure in just two years. The building will be a mix of a hotel, residential apartments, and a parking structure, which will be located across from the Owensboro Convention Center. In the “3D Mass Model” shown, orange represents the hotel, yellow represents the parking structure, and blue represents the apartments. Although the project is in the midst of its design phase and the name of the hotel has not been announced yet, we are excited about the project that will bring 160 apartments and 120 hotel rooms to downtown Owensboro. Groundbreaking is expected at the end of May 2019, and construction is expected to last until 2021.
