Kentucky Entertainment Incentive Program

Kentucky offers one of the most aggressive film incentive packages in the nation. Productions can receive:

  • 30% base tax credit on qualified expenditures
  • Additional 5% credit for Kentucky resident crew or enhanced counties
  • Refundable and non-transferable credits applicable against income or payroll withholding taxes

Feature films, television shows, documentaries, and even Broadway productions may qualify. Minimum spend requirements begin as low as $20,000 for documentaries.
