The Greater Owensboro area is part of the Green River Area Development District and is fortunate to have excellent working relationships with other communities in our region. In Hancock County we have access to the best riverfront industrial property in the State. We also partner in the Bluegrass Crossings Business Centre in Ohio County and we have close ties with the four-county partnership known as Kyndle in Henderson, Kentucky.

Not only do we work with communities on the south side of the Ohio River but we also have developed close ties with the communities on the north side of the river. Evansville, Vanderburgh, Warrick and Spencer Counties all have unique characteristics that benefit our entire region. These partnerships allow us to capitalize on the strengths of our region to meet needs of new locating and existing businesses.

GO-EDC also partners with some of the finest schools in Kentucky. The region is home to four colleges and universities and others throughout the labor market. Over 8,000 undergraduates are enrolled each year at Owensboro colleges. Our community enjoys the services of the Brescia University, Kentucky Wesleyan College, Owensboro Community and Technical College, Western Kentucky University (Owensboro campus) and Daymar College. These partnerships, along with our existing business and industries, are essential in building the community’s strong workforce.
